Join Iraq Veterans Against the War, Veterans for Peace, Camp Casey Peace Institute, the ANSWER Coalition, Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation, National Council of Arab-Americans, Grassroots America, Hip Hop Caucus, and thousands of others in Washington DC on September 15 for a huge antiwar protest timed to counter the report by General Petraeus on the “Surge” in Iraq. http://www.answercoalition.com
Followed that same evening by a powerful concert for change, featuring local Washingtonian award-winning songwriter, performing & recording artist AMY CLARKE on tour from New York for her first synth set in DC! Opening act is DC Acoustic Underground, featuring Iraq Vet Michael Yugo and local Tom Goss, then Amy Clarke plays socially & politically conscious radio hits from her acclaim-winning independently produced and released After The Fall EP alongside newer material from her forthcoming album in a piano/synth keyboard hybrid performance. Guest DJ Michael Blair closes out the evening with a progressive electronic set.
