Happy New Year! Had to take some down time from the studio, so I have been off the grid for a while! Back with a glimpse into a beautiful trip to Baja, Mexico, where we welcomed in 2008 with good friends, family and a creative bang. Only a 4 hour drive from Los Angeles, the home is located at the top of a cliff overlooking the water, and the views were breathtaking. On New Year’s Eve itself, after crafting vision boards for the new year, I sang while Alex DJ’d and we all drummed and danced in the new year underneath a starry sky, watching the moon rise over the Pacific Ocean. I am so grateful for my friends sharing their lovely new home.
Plus, since making music outdoors in an exotic international location was one of my goals for the year, and that’s what I was doing at the stroke of midnight, I think we’re off to a great start!
In fact, I just found out I am receiving my second ASCAP PLUS award for songwriting! Visit my website to check out some new spring show dates, with more to be announced. Album work is continuing, though not as quickly as I would like – as we are taking some of the tracks in a new direction – but it WILL be worth the wait.
I hope your 2008 is your BEST YEAR YET! See you soon!
Now, take some time to enjoy the beauty of Ensenada, Mexico.

OMG that is gorgeous!! How fortunate for you and Alex and how inspiring. Good luck on your album. I’m looking forward to hearing what you’ve done.
Yay! Mexico. See you in 10 days!
Amy –
Your pictures of Mexico are fantastic. I never dreamed you’d inherit my photography gene too!
I have the sunset as my desktop.
