MON MAY 4 2009 – The Viper Room – MAYDAY MISCHIEF
Downstairs Lounge, 8PM – Midnight
The evening begins with the chilled-out psychedelic roots rock of THE CONLONS, featuring wife & husband Annette & Doug Conlon on lead vocals, acoustic & electric guitar, and Brian LaFranchi on bass. BACKNBLOOM then debuts under its new name, with the vibrant Lori Steele rocking out on vocals & fierce classical violin and Alberto Kababie on guitar. The B.O.L.T. (Breath of Life Trio) then performs an acoustic set with Deepak on lead vocals, violin & guitar, John Twiford on lead vox, bass & guitar, and Brandon Fox on rhythm guitar. AMY CLARKE keeps the energy flowing and evolving, playing a compelling electroacoustic set on vocals, piano, keys, percussion and otherworldly effects w/Serena her synth keyboard. MICHAEL ANN & MICHAEL DOMAN take down the night with powerfully voiced acoustic guitar performances, Michael Ann first hooking you in with her strong voice and passionate playing, joined on guitar by MICHAEL DOMAN, until he takes the stage with his own unique, inventive performance and guitar stylings to end the night with impact. Guest musicians may drop in ~ friends Lobate Scarp also play upstairs ~ BE THERE! ~ scorpfaery productions

P.S. THANK YOU Donovan, & to guest musicians Gen for vocals, Voyce McGinley for percussion & Amanda Abizaid for flute at TRiP on 4/19!
P.S. This “silver key” that Amy is wearing around her neck has a very special story to it – was given to her by a mysterious benefactor in Washington, DC in 1996 after hearing Amy read a poem/song about writing music by “reaching into the dark to find the silver key” ~ it was handed to her wrapped in a velvet pouch and she pulled it out to find the key engraved with a single word: PIANO
Coincidence? Amy had never met the man until that evening and he apparently had no idea that she was a pianist…
