MAAT Music & Gaia Grove present US-based independent performing & recording artist, AMY CLARKE, playing in both the Washington, DC area & in New York City on an awareness tour in support of her living album project (as yet unreleased), A NEW WAY.
One of her songs on this album project – Rain Come Round – recently charted as high as Top Ten and remained in the Top 40 for the entire month of the Lilith OurStage local talent search competition for her hometown of Washington, DC. Her other single – MARY (her story) continues to make waves in underground music circles. After serving as a REVERB eco-team volunteer along with other members of her Gaia Grove initiative (“helping heal the earth”) on the July 10 LA date of the Lilith Fair tour this year, and having the rare and fortunate opportunity to perform a brief, spontaneous set in the Yamaha tent there at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA, Amy Clarke was appointed an additional ambassador to the Washington, DC Lilith Fair date ~ Tuesday, August 3 ~ at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. Amy will be providing additional awareness & coverage of this final stop of the 2010 Lilith tour before returning to the West Coast and preparing for multiple performances at this year’s Burning Man Festival: Metropolis. Amy Clarke will be performing both in the Sacred Spaces Village on the Mystic Garden Bhakti stage (Friday & Saturday afternoon @ 2:30PM) and at Center Camp on Saturday morning, September 4, 2010.
